In the hosting control panel, it is possible to add new domains for which you can determine the type of hosting. When adding a domain, the control panel by default sets the type of website hosting. In the drop-down menu for additional domains, you can select:

  • Website hosting
  • Forwarding
  • No web hosting (email hosting & DNS)

If you have several domains in the control panel, you can also change the type of hosting, for example, when the main site on another domain, you can configure 3 types of redirection:

  • Moved permanently (code 301) - Redirect website visitors to another site and show them the destination address. Such redirection will keep the site's search engine rankings.
  • Moved temporarily (code 302) - Redirect website visitors to a temporary site copy when you do not want search engines to index this temporary site.
  • Frame forwarding - Redirect website visitors to another site, but do not show them the destination address, so they do not know about the redirection.

You no longer need to understand the .htaccess format as it was before, now these parameters can be set for the domain in the control panel.

And vice versa, when changing the type of Forwarding to Website hosting, you will be prompted to specify the folder where the site files should be located. As for the 3 types of hosting, DNS and mail services will be active here. If you do not need a site and you plan to use the domain only for mailboxes. The type of hosting can be changed at any time as shown in the screenshots.
