In order to make the service work in a protected (encrypted) mode, an SSL certificate is required. You've probably often seen sites with a padlock in the browser bar, and links to sites begin with https.
There are several types and types of certificates, including free ones, valid for 3 months. We will consider ordering a paid certificate for a period of 1 year.
1. Placing an order for an SSL certificate
1.1 Let's use the SSL certificate selection wizard
In our example, we will select the GlobalSign AlphaSSL SSL certificate for one domain.
1.2 SSL certificate order form
In order to place an order and fill out all the fields, we need to generate a CSR request and copy it into the order form, after which the domain and company information will be displayed in the fields below.
Fill in the remaining fields according to the example, selecting the SSL certificate verification method. The following domain verification options are available:
- File via http link
- DNS record
- By email on the domain

At this stage, you can make changes to the order. If everything is correct, we proceed to creating a personal account and paying for the order.
1.4 Registration of a personal account
Fill in all the fields, this information will be used to create a personal account.
1.5 Selecting a payment method
Select a convenient payment method and complete it on the payment system side. You will be notified of successful payment.
Within a few minutes after payment, the order will be processed and you will receive a request to confirm the domain using the previously selected verification method. After successful confirmation of domain ownership, the certificate will be sent to the email specified when registering your personal account.
