VPS and VDS servers have many options for management through a personal account, which is even more convenient than a physical server. In this manual, you can familiarize yourself with the functionality. In addition to full-fledged ssh access, your personal account offers the user convenience and clarity in managing your servers.
There are several options for remote server access:
- Personal account - managing the server status, changing the password, viewing statistics
- RDP client - for Microsoft Windows, etc.
- SSH client - for operating systems Linux, FreeBSD, etc.
- VNC client - for all operating systems, as if you were in front of your server monitor.
Personal account allows the client to manage the server state (start, stop, reboot), change the password and hostname, restore the server from a backup, view resource usage statistics at the selected interval.
RDP client used to manage Microsoft Windows systems. The client is present in windows operating systems called Remote Desktop Connection. Allows you to connect to the server and work with it as if it were a physical server in front of you.
SSH client is the traditional way to access Linux servers, download any ssh client (the most common putty) and connect to the server using a dedicated ip address, username and password. By default, the login is always root, to ensure greater security, we recommend setting up an additional user, and closing root access for login directly.
VNC client allows you to access the server screen in case there is no way to connect to it via ssh. You see the server monitor as if it were physically in front of you.
