To issue a certificate, proof of ownership of the domain for which you want to obtain a certificate is required. There are 3 methods to verify domain ownership:

  • Sending an email to the mailbox admin@domain.tld with a link to follow.
  • Adding a CNAME record to the DNS zone of a domain name.
  • Placing a file on a web server with a specific name and content.

The second method of domain verification is the most popular among our clients. After the selected verification is completed, the certification authority issues an SSL certificate and we transfer it to you for use.

This procedure can take up to several hours, depending on the correctness of the placement of the necessary information, taking into account all the characters. For example, in methods 2 and 3, the certification authority periodically makes a request for compliance with the entries provided for placement. These methods are especially popular and are well suited for clients who do not plan to set up mail on their domain or plan to do so later.
