Help and description of the process of ordering services → Methods of verifying domain ownership

[SSL certificates]
Date of publication: 20.03.2025

When ordering a paid SSL certificate for a 1-year term, you will be prompted to choose a method of domain ownership verification.

Two options are available:

File - You will need to place a text file in the root directory of your domain with specific content.

Please note. This verification method assumes a configured web server service on your domain.

DNS record - You will need to place a TXT or CNAME record in the DNS editor of your domain.

This verification method requires access to the domain (typically a personal account with the domain registrar is needed). This method is convenient if you plan to use the SSL certificate for email. There is no need for a configured web server service.

Depending on the intended use of the SSL certificate, select a method on the order form. After payment, the activation process will begin and, as a rule, within an hour, you will receive a string to your email - necessary for placement on your domain.

After you have taken the necessary actions, the certification authority will see the record and confirm the issuance. This usually takes no more than 1 hour, after which you will receive the SSL certificate.
