To enable USB passthrough from your local computer to a Windows virtual machine, you need to configure settings within the official Microsoft Remote Desktop application.

Certain applications, particularly those used for accounting, require a USB key to sign documents and submit them to tax authorities. To ensure the virtual server recognizes the USB key, it must be redirected through the remote desktop connection settings.

1. Open Settings

2. On the Local Resources tab - More

3. Select the USB key connected to your local PC

Click OK, as shown in the screenshot.

Now click Connect.

4. USB Passthrough to the Virtual Server

It will appear with a drive letter and the name of your physical PC.

You can now use the USB key to work with your digital signature certificate on the virtual server. This allows you to sign and submit reports and documents online, just as you would on a standard PC.

Please note: For the certificate to function correctly, the same configuration and installation of necessary components (e.g., Crypto-Pro, browser plugins, etc.) will be required on the virtual server, depending on the type of USB key and your specific tasks.
