Mail on your own domain (virtual hosting or VPS)

There are at least 3 ways to run mail on your domain. Each of them has its own pros and cons.

1. Shared hosting

You can add your domain to your hosting control panel, specify the DNS server for it and start adding mailboxes. More details can be found at link.

This method of launching mail on your own domain is suitable for micro businesses, freelancers, and startups. The main advantages are low price and ease of use. You get access to mail through convenient applications on your PC or smartphone, as well as the ability to work with it using a standard web interface.

The downside is the relatively small amount of resources in the case of small and medium-sized businesses, especially where all document flow occurs using mail.

2. Ready-made assembly of a mail server on a VPS with Debian 12

Most recently, we have added pre-built assemblies based on our customers' needs to meet small business requirements. The server is completely ready and can be deployed within 1 hour. All you have to do is migrate mailboxes using proven and ready-made tools. The assembly has proven itself and requires minimal maintenance labor. More details can be found at link.

Of the minuses - you will need to separately purchase an antispam solution, since the server has a basic one installed, which does not always detect spam well, since it is not a big data solution.

3. Using third-party ready-made services

Global mail services, be it Yandex, Mail or Google, offer a paid mail service on their domain. On the plus side, you get a ready-made solution, good antispam due to the analysis of a large amount of data.

Of the minuses - All data is not with you and, unlike VPS, it cannot be stored in encrypted form. Lack of backups when you need to restore, as well as a high and variable price that will always increase.
