DaaS (Desktop as a Service) is a cloud service that provides users with virtual desktops over the internet. This way, each user receives a remote "turnkey desktop," including the operating system, applications, and user settings, while the service provider manages the entire infrastructure (hardware, licenses, security).
The cost of such a desktop will depend on the type of operating system. For Windows, a significant portion of applications, including Office and antivirus, as well as the operating system itself, will be paid, in addition to cloud resources (individual configuration).
If it's about Linux, things are much simpler. A remote desktop can also be configured on it, and Debian/Ubuntu distributions contain a large amount of software for a wide variety of tasks. Ultimately, you can assemble a ready-made reference VDS server with the necessary set of applications and clone it to the required number, thereby eliminating the need to configure each operating system individually.
To clone an existing virtual server, open a support request specifying your preferences, the number of copies, etc. Cloning a virtual machine will not take long; you will eventually receive the IP addresses for each server – you will only need to change the password, as it will be identical for all of them.
DaaS as a service looks promising – especially for employees working remotely. Even for personal use, if you have more than one computer, by connecting to a remote desktop, you can immediately get to work even from a new laptop, regardless of its operating system.
All our virtual machines have monthly backups with the possibility of restoration through your personal account.
